The airborne CVA700 video compression unit
provides the necessary circuitry to power selected cameras
and lights during particular flight time. Control of the
cameras and lamps is accomplished via switch closures external
to the unit. No more than two cameras and two lamps may
be powered at any given time. The selected video input
is digitized and compressed using the wavelet compression
algorithm, and the compressed data is then formatted and
multiplexed with health monitoring data and camera information.
Simultaneous storage of one video source while transmitting
another is provided under external command. |
